Abstract
Care is a fundamental phenomenon in human life: without care there is no possibility that existence will flourish. Nevertheless, this experience often has not an evident ontological meaning, such as many other fundamental ones. This paper wants to explore the philosophy of care in order to show its ethical essence, with the aim of looking for good, and a benefit for other people. When the ethical essence of care and its directions are shown, it is possible to develop a coherent pedagogy. This philosophy is intended within a political vision, looking for common good.
