Starting from the observation of certain contemporary phenomena that draw attention to the extent to which, today, social participation is paradoxically becoming an “individualised experience”, marked by a certain intransigence, the essay intends to propose a reflection on the “unfinished dialectics”, which first of all reveal themselves at the level of communication, a fundamental dimension within which openness to the Other is realised and the possibilities of participation in life are posed. In this framework, retracing the reflections of the Neapolitan anthropologist Ernesto De Martino, and sustaining on the founding role of communication with respect to human “presence”, the contribution traces in education to communication the possibility of re-instituting and enhancing education and as dialectical processes, whose realisation appears unavoidable from the ‘communicating voices of others”.
