This paper offers a theoretical reflection on the relation between school, democracy and the use of digital technology for teaching and learning. Observing the role of distance learning during the recent pandemic of Covid-19, the paper investigates the impact of new technologies on anthropopoiesis and on school’s political and pedagogical meaning. The conclusion invites to consider the not-neutrality of technology on the construction of school community, evaluating this latter as a public space which is essential for students to experience their singular plural mode of existence and to become able to imagine new way of living together.
