The educational value of work in the second machines age: the challenges of an anthropological vision

Abstract

The paper intends to reflect on the current scenario of work and education: the focus is on the fragility of social capital in Italy, the evolution of work and the skills of the future. From the
reflection on the Italian gap regarding the skills and the need for policies for reskilling and upskilling of young people and adults in a perspective of long-term employability. Particular emphasis
is placed on the anthropological dimension of work as the cornerstone of a pedagogical commitment.
