Abstract

This contribution focuses on the key results obtained within the Erasmus+ project entitled "Constructing a Green Wave in VET – A New SDG Perspective", in line with the environmental priorities of the Erasmus+ program and the UN objective 4.7 for the promotion of sustainable development and global citizenship. The Green Wave in VET project has as its primary aim to investigate and enhance the integration of sustainable education within Vocational and Technical Training (VET) contexts, with a specific focus on implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the construction and education sector. The intent was to develop a shared pedagogical and didactic model that promotes the development of sustainability skills and green skills through a bottom-up approach, created by comparing the needs of partners (VET institutes). The University di Bari has conducted actions aimed at mapping existing educational approaches on sustainability, understanding the role of VET contexts in promoting sustainable education and exploring ways to work with the SDGs.
