Abstract

The Integrated System of Education and Instruction for Children (0-6 years) represents a significant advancement in ensuring equal access to care, social interaction, play, and education for all children. It replaces the previously fragmented preschool system in Italy with a unified approach that supports the right to education, equal opportunities for academic success, and lifelong learning. Pedagogical literature underscores the importance of this integrated educational pathway in fostering essential skills and shaping attitudes that critically influence a child's future personal and professional development. This paper introduces a monitoring model developed through an action-research project conducted in the Aosta Valley region. The project focused on systematizing educational practices to ensure continuity for children aged 0-6, integrating these practices into a scientifically validated dissemination process. This process is grounded in a critical reflection on the paradigms and criteria within early childhood education.
