Abstract

The break in the epistemology of knowledge due to the rise of the theories of complexity leads to the need of a redefinition of methodologies and didactics also in the field of human movement and sport sciences. The debate about pedagogical models proposed in teachers’ education requests a new direction avoiding non intentionally educative views of the body and human movement.

The article debates about an educational approach promoting sustainable didactics, guiding disciplines’ knowledges towards an interpretative use of the various fields of the bodily experience, and enhancing the diversification of the spaces where the experience itself takes place. In this perspective, the pedagogy of Outdoor Education in urban or natural contexts, redrawing borders, and places of wellbeing, represents a meaningful indicator to enhance school wellbeing, active and healthy lifestyles along with a learning opportunity in a non-linear perspective.
