Abstract

The rapid and pervasive change, characterizing the current times, places school systems in front of new challenges and obliges them to deal with new paradigms. The gaze and the pedagogical study appear even more relevant in these times of great social, relational, cultural and economic transformations. Assets of the speech focused in the following essay are: the concept of training, the role of pedagogical knowledge in the professional development of teachers, the importance of ability in intentional planning of educational action, the need for an innovative regulatory system in relation to structuring of the educational system. If teachers’ professionalism results from the achievement of several skills, the pedagogical one represents the access key bringing to a leading role two issues: on one hand the educational purposes and intentionality, on the other the sense guiding strategies, methods and organizations.
