Abstract

Matricide is a not very frequent crime, sometimes even poorly represented in the case studies and in medical-legal, criminological and psychological- / psychiatric-forensic contributions. Often this crime immediately leads to the suspicion that the author is suffering from a serious mental pathology of a serious mental pathology in the author, that is, a “pathological” crime. The case showed is peculiar both for the type of relationship between victim and executioner, and for the execution methods. Therefore, it presents technical aspects worthy of mention and offers important insights and reflection, which have a specific purpose for the criminological disciplines: to try to make sense of the intrinsic and extrinsic reason of the act itself.
