Abstract

The paper intends to explore the implicit and pre-symbolic dimension of the educational relationship, with the intention of highlighting that, in addition to the valorial and symbolic aspets of the relational process, it is necessary to give great importance to the “aesthetic” dimension of the relationship, to assume a musical, rhythmic, harmonious “forme”. Reciting in an argumentate way the positions of Dewey, on the one hand, and of Infant Research, on the other hand, the paper will highlight the centrality of rhythm in the construction of the first relationships of care and, more generally, he will suggest how music can represent a Gestalt that, in an immediate and phenomenological way, indicates that a relationship “works”.
