In the cultural microcosms of postmediality, characterised by the intertwining of online and offline dimensions, socio-educational experiences take shape that are relevant to the pedagogical debate, but challenging to study from a methodological point of view. This calls for a critical and reflective revisiting of the epistemological, ontological and methodological assumptions that guide the qualitative researcher. The article focuses on the description of an ethnographic-inspired methodology developed for online contexts, netnography, placing it within the ethical and axiological debate of pedagogical research.
