The paper proposes an educational experience focused on the practice of guidance as an exercise in analysis and conscious self-appropriation of the social issues that make the process of existential authentication more difficult and complex. The activity was proposed at the LM 47 course, Sports Management, at the University of the ‘Foro Italico’ in Rome. The proposed practice aimed at making students more aware of the pitfalls of our time (in relation to what complicates the self-realization processes), and at allowing them to take a position with respect to the problems, making choices and 'orienting' critically in relation to the main issues that have emerged. The process thus activated ended with the discussion and elaboration of possible strategies to 'respond' critically, and responsibly to the identified difficulties.
