Orientation is often thought of as a linear path, aimed at identifying possible employment opportunities at the end of the school process. Although it is a far-sighted vision, the focus on the working aspect alone makes this process not always inclusive, especially when it does not take into account the dimensions linked to emotional life, preparatory to the construction of any professional career. For people with disabilities, the question takes on connotations of urgency, since these are issues considered taboo by society, which struggle to spread due to cultural stereotypes still strongly rooted in common thought. The contribution moves some reflections on the relationship between disability and emotional life, considering orientation as a process of educational accompaniment that, having as a reference the Quality of Life construct, aims to build a complete and satisfying life plan.
