Budding Citizens. An Outdoor Learning experience for an active citizenship

Environmental and social issues represent real emergencies. The solutions to consider should be immediate but mostly we should work on a culture based on civic and natural sensitivity. The outdoor learning project we are describing has moved towards this direction. Children began the project during the first year of primary school. The project shown good outcomes in terms of motivation and appreciation of both individual and common knowledge and skills. The external world captured the attention of participants, activating the knowledge of the reality surrounding us and promoting critical thinking in a “natural” way.
