Abstract
The paper examines the relationship between social justice and school context . Particularly, the matter is investigated through problem analysis and critique of merit and meritocracy in school. We, therefore, examined the idea of equality in educational opportunities to associate the learning outcomes to personal merit. The school environment has the task of reducing the social differences to guarantee that all students can achieve knowledge and fundamental competences.
