La pedagogia positivistica a Padova

Abstract

This paper aims to highlight the distinctive features of Padova University as a philosophical centre for Positivistic thought.The first part deals with the history of the city and its university between 19th and 20th century, a period of real egemony for Positivism; the second part presents the two most important philosophers of Positivism in Padova, Roberto Ardigò and Giovanni Marchesini; the last part reviews the literature and criticism about these scholars.
