Abstract

Kamishibai is a teaching aid that allows children to be introduced, through the use of sound and images, to an immersive narration that leads to the construction of shared knowledge and inclusive paths. The article describes a workshop conducted by the writer, as a teacher, in a infant school of Rome. In this path, Kamishibai was used as an educational "means" to combat stereotypes, prejudices and enhance empathy and collaboration in children aged three to six years. Implementing this type of teaching from the early school years is essential to create a future citizen open to comparison, dialogue, diversity understood as richness and plurality of ideas and values.
