Abstract

This contribution seeks to explore the transformations of adolescent masculinities through a pedagogical perspective which, drawing on Lacan’s concept of the point de capiton (1981), identifies a possible educational reading within Anderson’s (2009) paradigm of inclusive masculinity. A pedagogical interpretation of the theoretical framework of inclusive masculinity proposes recognising the contemporary identity crisis of masculinity as a structural condition and invites educational action to focus on revisiting those symbolic nodes, embodied and relational in nature, that enable young people to inhabit the absence of alternative models, transforming it into a practice of recognition, care, and the pluralisation of masculinities.
