Abstract

The services belonging to the System of Protection for Asylum Seekers and Refugees (Sprar) employ heterogeneous and quickly evolving professional profiles. Several factors suggest that the Italian model of “second reception” provides a considerable potential for pedagogical and social innovation. The contribution proposes to contextualize it in the history of educational and social work in order to renew a circular approach including professional practices, field research and training of operators.
