Crocevia profetico di incontro con l’altro: Nocetum come luogo attivo di accoglienza e luogo interculturale

Abstract

Nocetum is located in the outskirts of Milan. After having experienced a period of decline and abandonment in the past, Nosedo borough has become a true social center of aggregation, in which values related to Christianity and environmental protection are shared. Nowadays it hosts educational facilities for welcoming mothers and children, and offers several activities and initiatives to the residents of the district and the city. Nocetum is renowned for being a crossroads of dialogue between people whose stories, cultures and experiences are often very different from each other; a place where one can experience the encounter with the other, and which promotes interculture and global citizenship. In the facilities for welcoming mothers and children, projects combining practices of structured education and informal education are tested.
