Abstract

Last decade research describes youths as people conserving, on one hand, a positive sense of life and future and having a strong inner motivation toward the realization of personal projects, and on the other hand facing many difficulties in making lasting and meaningful life choices. Youths belonging to the “Y Generation” are a particularly critical population that mirrors the culture they grew in. They appear weak while remaining open, available and generous. An analysis of the current youth situation shows the youths’ apathy is adult’s apathy, therefore that youth crisis lies in the crisis of culture that created them. The mainly way to face and overcome the crisis consist in training action for adults feeling and willing to become teachers and authoritative guides to support young people in fulfilling their live.
