Abstract

In this paper, we will reflect on some tacit assumptions of qualitative research, starting from criteria widely used to evaluate its quality, for example, in peer review processes. Therefore, we will analyze the COnsolidated criteria for REporting Qualitative studies (COREQ) and then report some critics that have been recently moved to them. We will conclude by analyzing the improvements these re-flections on COREQ can bring to those involved in qualitative research, especially in education.
