Introduction: Some of challenges social workers and their coordinators must face daily could weaken their professional identity exposing them to vicarious syndromes, as Compassion Fa-tigue and Burnout. Targets: to evaluate the outcomes of a training path that involved a group of coordinators of protection services of Emilia-Romagna Region. Method: three standardized questionnaires (ProQoL, IRI, SCS) and a personal information form were used. Results: after the path there was an increase of Self-Kindness (p=0,000), and a decline of Personal Distress (p=0,048) and Self-Isolation (p=0,004). Conclusion: the path changed self-com-passion levels, neutralized some social isolation strategies and laid the foundation for mutual-supportive work communities.
