Abstract

This paper aims to investigate the meaning of disabled corporeity through the performing arts and dance, through a special‐pedagogical perspectives. The voice of people with disabilities and the performing arts contribute to a redefinition of reality in order to overcome the boundaries of the cultural and aesthetic canons of models of "normality" to take on different visions of “human being”, starting with the body. A body that becomes an identity project and opens itself up to its infinite possibilities of being. This trajectory may be pursued through an inclusive education that contrasts homog‐enization processes, building contexts capable of responding to everyone's differences, eliminating cultural, social, economic and institutional barriers.
