There are many challenges that make the school a complex and articulated context: not only the emotional distress caused by Covid-19 and the new emergencies involving more and more young people (addictions, isolation, etc.), but also the presence of many special educational needs that require teachers to implement personalized educational-didactic strategies. To foster a school environment attentive to the needs of all, the Protocollo d’Intesa of 08/27/2020, signed between the MIUR and several associations of pedagogists, aimed to promote pedagogical professionalism at school to interpret the needs of everyday life, supporting teachers, family members and students through educational counseling. This article aims to outline the role and skills of the school pedagogist as a figure who promotes an inclusive environment, sensitive to innovations and social demands, also responding to the goals set by the PNRR.
