Educators and pedagogists training within the degree courses and research
Abstract
Following the current debate on the legally recognition of the professional educator
in Italy, this article highlights the pivotal role of the bachelor and master degrees
courses in Education together with the importance to undertake a review of their
programmes, contents, structures and aims. This article posits that that such analysis should follow a critical reflection on the theoretical models underlying the foundation of a specific knowledge, which on one hand it is related to the wider subject areas, and on the other hand it is expression of personal autonomy and ability to respond to the training needs of different subjects.
