Abstract

The paper aims at verifying how Canadian immigration and multicultural policies
changed over the last 16 years since 9/11. It will focus on women in particular. It is
a diverse and complex universe because of its inherent multicultural identity and history which cannot be analysed only from the immigrant women perspective. The
foundations on which the discourse will be built are, on one hand, the inclusion policies aimed at reducing gender gaps, discrimination, violence. On the other, feminist organizations’ issues raised towards institutions within a heated debate.
