Abstract

The ordeal of alcohol related illness causes a great disorder to the alcoholic. Succeeding in protecting oneself from alcohol is the result of a long progression. If an alcoholic takes hold of the toxic domination in order to use it as a weapon, he may undertake a positive experience of health. In order to shed light on those statements, we have worked out a formation protocol based on creative writing. For one year, three long-term ex-drinkers have been recording on their diary snippets of sentences, of images, of drawings, telling their story. We consider those diaries in an aesthetic approach of the care in order to support the existential rereading and to highlight the knowledge used by non-drinkers to distance themselves from the toxic and thus
become emancipated.
