This paper explores the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence (AI) as a compensatory tool for students with dyslexia, focusing on its potential to support reading and writing tasks. The analysis highlights the importance of developing digital competencies and specific learning skills to ensure the effectiveness of these technologies in addressing the difficulties encountered by students with learning disorders. The pedagogical implications and educational challenges associated with the adoption of advanced technological tools are discussed, emphasizing the need for an integrated approach that promotes the development of academic skills (such as text comprehension and writing) and digital skills as part of personalized educational pathways, centered on metacognition, for a critical and informed approach to the use of compensatory tools to perform school tasks.
