Abstract

The school library, recognized as an essential educational environment, plays a crucial role in promoting reading, research, and the development of informational skills. However, in the Italian context, the lack of specific academic training for future teachers represents a significant gap. This article proposes integrating the management of the school library with Outdoor Education within training programs. The natural environment thus becomes an extension of the library, enhancing reading and research. Pending the recognition of the librarian-teacher role, such training modules are believed to enrich teachers' skills and improve student learning.
