Abstract

Becoming an adult means growing and changing, formulating perspectives to find spaces, relationships and projects that will give meaning to future life. The theme of the “Life Project” emerges in the literature on disability as a necessary representation of actions that help to enhance the potential of young students with disabilities who are preparing to enter adult, social and working life. This is not an easy objective, requiring a multidimensional commitment, capable of planning short and long term proposals that are realized according to a logic expert in putting together individual expectations with contextual realities. In the present work, the focus is on the use of auto-narrative practices as a cognitive means that can become an operational tool, capable of supporting the emergence and focusing of the interests and characteristics of the autistic person.
