Abstract

The present historical moment, with its impressive socio-cultural changes, brings within the need to review the concept of care, meant as care of self-knowledge and of one’s own interiority. This contribution will highlight how Therapeutic Education is a systemic learning process, centered on the patient and it will analyze what type of contribution pedagogy can make in the creation of training courses that enhance it by critically re-reading it. Then the contents and relational aspects of narrative medicine will be illustrated, a tool that allows you to shed light on the problems characterizing the disease, to improve the perception that the patient has of his own pathology and build that authentic «care relationship», also mentioned in the New Code of Conduct for Italian Doctors.
