Ada Prospero Marchesini Gobetti (1902-1968) was a writer and translator, known for being the wife of Piero Gobetti and for her involvement in the Resistance. This study analyses her post-World War II activities in the field of reading promotion, carried out through «il Giornale dei Genitori» («The Parents’ Journal»), which she had founded, and the book Dai 4 ai 16: Guida ai libri per ragazzi (From 4 to 16: A Guide to Books for Children). The focus is on the selection criteria proposed by the author, linking them to the cultural and educational objectives of the journal.
