Abstract

This paper explores how children and adults can use technology to promote playful and creative learning in specially designed educational contexts inspired by the philosophy of the Reggio Emilia approach. As part of the Play Explore research project, funded by the LEGO Foundation and facilitated by the Reggio Children Foundation, a series of workshops were conducted to provide four different contexts for exploring the relationship between play and learning using the OctoStudio app. The qualitative data analysis revealed essential themes in the learning process, such as play, context, playfulness and technology. In conclusion, by highlighting the importance of creating inclusive and stimulating environments that encourage active participation, collaboration and creativity through the use of technology, this research aims to promote playful learning in educational contexts.
