Abstract

Imagination plays a fundamental role in learning science; it can also be expressed by an animistic dimension intimately related to narrative approach, very helpful in strengthening self-awareness and cognitive development from early childhood. This paper aims to illustrate some examples about the use of animism, showing its usefulness in chemistry and physics education. Indeed, its conscious utilisation can counteract educational poverty by increasing the number of scientific vocations, especially among girls.
