Abstract

This paper, though focused on the social implications of Dewey’s moral, civil and educational ideas, actually, starting from a Deweyan perspective, deals with the meaning and the role of so-called Civic Education, just questioning its legitimacy in school curriculum: particular school subject or, rather, a necessary and intrinsic character of the concept of Education to be transferred into a genuine school practice?
