Abstract

The paper presents the analysis of a publication, the «Bollettino As.Pe.I.», which is the dissemination tool of the activity of the Italian Pedagogical Association, re-constituted in 1950 by Giovanni Calò. The Bollettino As.Pe.I aims to analyze and to discuss the problems of education and schoolm, involving all the experts in the field, with the purpose to overcome two levels of fractures. First, reffering to the pedagogical arena, it aims to get over the opposition between Catholic and lay thinkers; secondarily, in the educational field, it aims to overcome the separation between the University and the Schools of all order, through the creation and the planning of training activities, qualification of teachers and other practicioners involved in Education.
The Bollettino As.Pe.I has been running for fifty years, since the first issue came out in 1972, but the analysis presented in this paperis limited to the publication period untile 2002, when a change of the publisher required a new organisation of the editorials procedures. The paper traces the first thirty years of life of the Bollettino, outlining the close relationship between the life of the Association, the pedagogical debate as it emerges, and its function of dissemination, as a reflections stimulus. The paper also testifies to the liveliness of a hostorical period that has seen the Italian school affected by rapid and sometimes contradictory transformations as it emerges from the interventions of important protagonists.
