The research develops a direct and possible link between feminicide and the mafia; illustrates the positions of women in relation to the mafia phenomenon, and the traits that characterize them as the effect of a femicidal mentality introjected by all the women of the clans. Subsequently, it analyzes the transformative process of women who have renounced belonging to the clan, and present themselves as survivors of the femicidal mentality, and by embracing change they opened up to biographical freedom and self-determination. The exit from a situation of abuse and identification with the abuser in the vision of the Hungarian psy-choanalyst Sandor Ferenczi is favored by the emergence of the psychic construct of Orpha, maternal care of the Self, which to-gether with «outstretched hands» which are not necessarily feminine, enhances the trait of vulnerability without paternalism, as a determining factor for change.
