This paper faces the issue of domestic violence, highlighting, in addition to the worrying quantitative dimension of this phenomenon, the multiple repercussions that it causes both on the lives of women mothers and on the one of their daughters/sons forced to suffer abuses and violence from men who, in most cases, belong to the closest family circle. Considering that domestic violence represents a historical-cultural phenomenon that arises from unequal power relations between the sexes, the article underlines the importance that education has in promoting new interpersonal models from early childhood, no longer based on abuse and hatred, but on respect and equality between women and men.
