Using AI between risks and opportunities to the equitable and inclusive education for all

The last ten years have seen a rapid increase in interest in Generative Artificial Intelligence, especially in educational contexts, such as primary and secondary schools and universities. Recent advances in the field of Artificial Intelligence can potentially revolutionize teaching and assessment practices by introducing new opportunities but also countless challenges regarding, among many, equity as well as the need to provide adequate support to teachers in designing activities through safe, conscious and responsible use of the educational tools supported by these technologies. The article aims to explore how Artificial Intelligence can help teachers personalize students’learning experiences in the current context, where this technology is transforming teaching practices and assessment methods.
