The Multidisciplinary Team (EM) in the form of a community of practice (Wenger, 1999), favouring the interaction of different professional agents, has proved to be an effective device for sustainable educational interventions. This practice has not yet found a complete and systematic connection with the system of Social and Territorial Plans envisaged by framework law 328/2000. This contribution proposes a focus on the figure of the Cultural Mediator-Educator within the EM, crucial for the holistic taking on of migrant subjects (Agostinetto, 2022). This figure, in fact, above all in the prison setting (Iavarone&Di Gennaro, 2023), should not be relegated to the mere management of conflicts that have already occurred, but should be permanently integrated in the planning of socio-educational services together with the entire territorial educational chain and the individual ATSs.
