This paper aims to actualise the concept of “popular pedagogy” suggested 20 years ago by Michele Corsi. The main purpose is to explain some important steps following the formulation of the initial concept, such as the birth of Pop pedagogy, the epistemological intertwining of popular culture and family memories, the revaluation of the idea of “media kinship”, and how all these factors are reflected in education. Finally, a brief case study of a song by Elodie Di Patrizi is offered, and suggestions are made on the development of a judicious pedagogy but free from judgmental criteria.
