Abstract

Personal biographies unfold between the rediscovery of the past, of the roots, and a view to the future. Teens with a family history of migration have the possibility to elaborate a complex and solid identity if they intentionally reflect about their multiple cultural backgrounds, ties and belonging. The paper aims at deepening the identity topic through a perspective able to give voice to the plurality, driven by three interpretive categories: emancipation, leadership and ties.
