Abstract

The profession of pedagogist has been recognized in Italy too only recently. Family pedagogy offers a significant example of its practice, in which the author has been engaged for over twenty-five years. In this short essay we summarize the lines of intervention in four problematic fields of particular importance: the evolution of the paradigms of couple and family compared to the Nineteenth-Twentieth centuries; an incorrect reference to nature in human issues such as family and gender; the possible conflicts in the life projects of family members that are often not explicit and discussed; the problems caused in the family context by the Covid 19 health emergency, during the lockdown period, in terms of the organization of study and work in the home. The speech is open, both as a research and as professional practice, in the presence of emerging social needs.
