Starting from the experience of the continuing education course “Gender Perspectives in Disciplinary Teaching”, promoted by the CSGE-Center for Studies on Gender and Education at the University of Bologna in the 2016-2017 and 2023-2024 editions, this paper proposes a reflection on the need to rethink the pedagogical training of professional figures in educational and school contexts as a dimension in continuous research. Such training proves essential to respond to educational demands and initiate a profound shift in cultural paradigm that also involves the patriarchal values of widely disseminated and traditionally established teaching methodologies. The unmasking of stereotypes necessarily passes through targeted and research-oriented teaching, which cannot be only episodic or occasional, with periodic projects managed by figures external to the school.
