Women’s economic empowerment is crucial to preventing significant gender inequalities, but disparities in financial literacy limit women’s economic autonomy, hindering their role in the ecological transition. This gap, rooted in cultural stereotypes, is reinforced by educational and institutional barriers. Promoting financial literacy from childhood through an integrated approach that combines financial education, and the deconstruction of gender stereotypes is essential to reducing the gender gap and fostering a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable economy.
