Abstract

The 'Treasure Tree Park' will be inaugurated in spring 2024 and will be the first sensory‐inclusive municipal park in Padua: it is a project of the Municipality of Padua and the Robert Hollman Foundation in cooperation with 17 institutions, including the University of Padua. A total of 1528 children from pre‐school and primary schools were involved in the co‐design, using "The Treasure of the Enchanted Labyrinth", a specially written and illustrated book characterised by its being multi‐coded (writing with Easyreading© fonts, in Braille, Alternative augmentative communication ‐ CAA, audiobook) and therefore accessible. On the occasion of the international competition for tactile publishing Typhlo & Tactus (Padua, March 2022), the book was reissued as a TIB (Tactile Illustrated Book), adding tactile illustrations and a translation into LIS (Italian Sign Language) to the previous codes.
