Un’acuta sensazione di pedagogia. Il tema dell’Altro nell’opera di Raymond Carver
This article proposes a reinterpretation of Raymond Carver’s works through the lens of pedagogy, and of special pedagogy in particular. Through the analysis of a number of short stories written by the American author, the essay takes into consideration such pedagogical issues as the relationship with alterity and the ways in which otherness activates vital transformative processes regarding personal identity. The central idea is that, both in Carver’s works and in pedagogy, the encounter with the Other provokes a process of growth, change, evolution and acquisition of consciousness.
