This contribution aims to enhance an increasingly relevant theme for educational professionals: emotional competence. Educators and pedagogists, in addition to taking care of the person, are called to take care of themselves and acquire a greater awareness on the socio-emotional front as well as cognitive. Luigina Mortari (2019) highlights how the socio-emotional dimension is a fundamental direction of self-care and so must be considered already by academic curricula. The aim of this work, therefore, is reflected in the desire to promote strategies and care actions aimed at acquiring emotional, communicative and relational skills as fundamental practices for the training of trainers.
