Abstract

The article presents the socio-pedagogical work conducted with the civic network Riprendiamoci la Città, active in the Municipality of Venice since 2022, to promote the systemic change of ATS VEN 12 in the face of widespread social emergency. The research uses Activity Theory to reconstruct and support the mobilisation of RLC as an expansive learning process through a participatory approach based on observations, document analysis and interviews with local activists. The results highlight the pedagogist's change of position from external observer to full participant and his contribution to the establishment of RLC as a proactive movement. Its partial outcome indicates the need for a cross-sectoral formative intervention involving civic actors and bodies responsible for the quality of life in the city, both internal and external to the ATS.
